I follow back anyone who follows my blog. However, I noticed lately that many blogs that used to appear regularly on my WordPress Reader or others that send an email notification of a new post have been silent.
Out of curiosity, I checked the insights tab on my stats page. To my surprise, many blogs that I follow were now unchecked.
I don’t know how or why, because I certainly didn’t do that.
I’ve gone through the list and visited the blogs in question and checked the “Follow Tab” or re-subscribed. Granted about five blogs were defunct, but there were about 6 pages of active blogs off my radar.
Hopefully we’ll be hearing and seeing each other soon.
No worries. I actually don’t visit blogs much anymore. I prefer Facebook. I’d love to do blogs, but there is only so much time in the day. I’ll get back to it eventually. I so miss some of my favs 🙂

in the last few months I have seen complaints about disappearing follows on several blogs – and in more than a few ways. With every new and “improved” feature, something else goes screwy with WPress – again.
Of late, I keep having to put the link addresses back on my blog titles, crazy garbage text is added at the bottom of my posts any time I save or go from html to wysiwyg – and more. Always something.
Thanks for letting us know, however – so we know to check our follows. AGAIN.

“…link addresses back on my blog titles…” Could you explain that one por favor?

I always include lots of links to other articles throughout my posts (explaining concepts, etc.) — and as “related content” at the end (to my own posts and to those on blogs of others).
The linking process means that you use the the process in which you insert (i.e., “link”) the address of the related post to the words that people must click to go to that article.
I have to RE-link several times lately, because the words remain, but the post addresses do not.
I can’t demonstrate on YOUR blog because links work differently in comments on someone else’s blog – but if you go to mine you’ll see what I mean.
It won’t be obvious to YOU what has been “stripped” within an article because you won’t know which words were FORMERLY linked – but if a link doesn’t “click” from the related content at the end, that’s a WP glitch. I **ALWAYS** test my links.
In addition, I do a ton of saves as I edit (self-defense). Lately – and only sometimes – WPrs replaces new content with older versions – so not only do links go bye-bye, sometimes entire paragraphs, graphics, etc. Oddly, uploaded graphics stay in the media library – just not on the post.
I think it is a problem with their new and “improved” content editor – but explaining it to anybody always takes a bazillion words and tons of time. I just wish they’d TEST before they unleashed (oops, I mean released). 🙂
